Lovell Stone Group chooses LTP protection at Waltham Forest Town Hall

A stunning natural stone installation – featuring a bespoke blend of Purbeck Stone paving from Lovell Stone Group – has recently been completed at Waltham Forest Town Hall in Walthamstow, East London, reports TSJ.

During the recently completed natural stone installation at Waltham Forest Town Hall in Walthamstow, East London, LTP’s ECOPROTEC Natural Finish Stone Sealer was specified to protect the bespoke limestone pavers, which span over 2,500 sq. metres.

The installation was carried out by Foran Construction Ltd, for Landscape Architects, Churchman Thornhill Finch, and Main Contractor, ISG.

Forming part of the Town Hall Campus Transformation Programme, the natural stone installation includes a sweeping entrance and circular water feature within an expansive paved square.   The bespoke blend of Purbeck Stone paving from Lovell Stone Group – a Purbeck limestone in a bush hammered finish with a Purbeck brushed finish border – was specified to reflect “the architectural language” of the Grade II listed Town Hall.

The stunning installation seamlessly incorporates ramps, low walls, access points, and discreet fountain drainage grates.

High performance and sustainability were key considerations for the stone’s protection.  LTP’s ECOPROTEC Natural Finish Stone Sealer provided the protection and fulfilled all eco credentials.

The water-based treatment repels stains, without changing the stone’s appearance, and allows surfaces to breathe.  It also ensures a safe application, being low odour and VOC-free.
